High Holiday Violin Meditations by Alan Oresky
Alan Oresky, violinist extraordinaire, has been inspiring and moving audiences in the Washington, DC, area, and worldwide, for more than 50 years. Now retired from performing music, Alan Oresky’s presence in the Washington Jewish community – musically, spiritually – has been best known as co-founder of the folk music group, the Fabrangen Fiddlers. But it is his exceptional musical contributions to the High Holiday services of the Am Kolel and Kehila Chadasha, that is the focus of this site. Presented here are samples of his deep and profound High Holiday violin meditations which have been performed as part of the religious services of the community over the past several years.
