1:00pm – Doors Open

1:15pm-1:45pm – Bruchim HaBayim: Welcome & Introduction

2:00pm-3:15pm – Shiur: Session #1

  • Nishmat Chayim: Breath of Life Moving Meditation and Conscious Dance with Debi Roemer (Moving Meditation/Conscious Dance)

Through a fusion of conscious movement, somatic awareness and intuitive expression, you will be gently guided to connect deeply with your body and inner wisdom. This inner wisdom is referred to in some circles as the Breath of Life; Nishmat Chayim in Hebrew. In this workshop we will focus on our own unique rhythms in the body while moving, breathing and connecting. When we connect with our own Nishmat Chayim, we are connected with everything universal. There are no steps and no experience is necessary.

  • Kosher Ayurveda 101: Alisa Abrams (Health and Wellness)
Why should we view Shmirat HaGuf (Guarding the Body) as the most essential act for ensuring our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being? What can we learn from Judaic and Ayurvedic sources and principles about how to pursue optimal health and wellness, and what is the relationship between these ancient wisdom traditions? Join this interactive presentation where we will discuss how to develop, maintain and/or restore balance for our body, mind, and soul.

  • Divine Shapes: Hebrew Letter Inspired Yoga (Ofanim) with Sharon Neubauer & Rabbi David Shneyer (Movement)

In this session Reb David and Sharon will explore a few Hebrew letters through Yoga-inspired movements and breathwork. Hebrew letters offer us templates that can mirror the body—as above so below. The letters can also represent energies that are present in our bodies and in the universe.

  • Jewish Mindfulness Meditation with Rabbi Lauren Tuchman (Meditation)

Please join us for Jewish mindfulness meditation. Our time together will open with a contemplative chant, followed by a brief teaching situating our practice deeply in Jewish spiritual time. We'll then have time for spacious silent practice that will be lightly guided. We'll close with some time for reflective sharing.

  • Kabbalah of the Spine and How to UnHunch with Julie Tonti (Movement and Jewish Learning)

This session will be part UnHunch posture workshop and part Kabbalistic learning of the sfirot and energies of the body.

3:30pm-4:45pm – Shiur: Session #2

  • Ecstatic Dance as Prayer with Jenna Hopp (Movement)

Experience prayer songs through your feet and move with Spirit. Join us for an enlivening mix of Jewish liturgical and world music as we let go into flow. Feel free to take off your shoes. Please limit talking and the use of technology during this experience as much as possible. Feel free to sing, laugh, cry, and sigh to your heart’s content. No experience with dance is required.

  • Healing Herbalism with Dr. Jessica Needle (Nature)

Touch, taste, and smell healing plants that were important in traditional Jewish communities and can still be used today for treatment of specific illnesses and overall wellness. Learn which blessings are appropriate when working with medicinal plants, how growing and consuming your own herbs can increase mindfulness, and how to successfully navigate contradictory claims about natural medicine. Participants will be introduced to teas, tinctures, and extracts, and will learn about using various plant constituents in creating remedies.

  • Healthy Cooking Demonstration with Alisa Abrams (Health and Wellness)
No experience needed! A cooking class geared for everyone, from beginners to kitchen aficionados. Learn how to make kosher Ayurvedic meals and how they can enhance your health and wellness. Here's your opportunity to learn from the first-ever global Kosher Ayurveda specialist.

  • Ki Energy, Meditation, and Niggun in Motion with Rob Colton and Rabbi David Shneyer (Movement/Meditation)

Rob will use gentle techniques to connect energy bodies with our spiritual being. Reb David will offer connections with Jewish meditative traditions and niggunim.

  • Session Pending - Acupuncturist Devorah Walder
