A Personal Conversation with Recent Ukrainian Refugees

  • Am Kolel Jewish Renewal Community of Greater Washington 1719 Willmart Street Rockville, MD 20852 US (map)

On the anniversary of the Russian invasion, we have invited members of a Ukrainian family to share their stories with us.

Yanna Yaich, who left Ukraine in 2014, will translate for her father, Viktor, a Holocaust survivor, a former Soviet ICBM operator, and engineer, and Natasha, Yanna's aunt, who served in the Red Army and worked as a building security manager, and Michael Yaich, Yanna's husband, Project Communications Manager for the US government.

We are thankful to Frank Silberstein for introducing us to this family.

Donations are welcome to Am Kolel's Tzedakah Fund for Ukrainian relief. Visit https://www.amkolel.org/donate or send a check to Am Kolel at 19520 Darnestown Road, Beallsville, MD 20839.

RSVP to Melissa at admin@amkolel.org to receive Zoom information.
