MLK Interfaith Service at Cedar Lane

  • Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Congregation 9601 Cedar Ln, Bethesda, MD 20814 United States (map)

Cedar Lane is hosting a 3 pm Multi-Faith Service on Jan. 14 for Martin Luther King Weekend in the Sanctuary. Faith and elected leaders including Rev. Anne Derse, Imam Refai Arefin, Rabbi David Shneyer, Rev. Bill Sinkford, and Rep. Jamie Raskin will come together to join our communities in prayer and recommit ourselves to living into Dr. King's vision of the Beloved Community, an interconnected, interdependent "world house in which we have to live together black and white, Easterner and Westerner, Gentile and Jew, Catholic and Protestant, Muslim and Hindu - a family unduly separated in ideas, culture and interest, who, because we can never again live apart, must learn somehow to live with each other in peace."

RSVP HERE. The service will also be live streamed at bit.ly/mlkinterfaithonline
